In English it is given the name Royal Poinciana or Flamboyant. It is also one of several trees known as Flame tree. In India it is known as Gulmohar in Hindi.
The flamboyant tree goes by many names, including the flame tree, royal poinciana tree, and its Latin name of Delonix regia. The flamboyant tree grows a profusion of blooms in shades of fiery red, pink, and orange with soft-leaved branches that resemble ferns. The large flat seedpods look like snow peas on a grand scale. These pods house the large seeds needed to grow new trees. The trees grow quickly and reach around 40 feet tall and 60 feet wide when mature.
When growing them inside your home, it is best to grow them as bonsai trees to keep them within scale.Delonix regia, commonly called Royal Poinciana, requires full sun and daily watering for fullest flowering and is drought tolerant but not salt tolerant.
The tree grows in a wide range of well-drained acidic or alkaline soils, including clay, sand and loam. For several weeks in spring and summer it is covered with exuberant clusters of flame-red flowers, 4-5 in across. Even up close the individual flowers are striking: they have four spoon shaped spreading scarlet or orange-red petals about 3 in long, and one upright slightly larger petal (the standard) which is marked with yellow and white
Pre treatment: Seeds placed in boiling water and allowed to soak for 5 days or soaking the seed in cold water for 10 days. Nursery Technique : Pretreated seeds are sown in polybags , germination commences within 20 to 25 days. Four month old seedlings are planted out .

Jatropha curcas is a valuable multi-purpose crop which can be used for bio-energy to replace petro-diesel, for soap production and climatic protection, and hence deserves specific attention. Jatropha curcas as one of the best candidates for future biodiesel production. Plant the seed and cut our dependence on foreign oil! The marble size seeds are fast sprouting. is an evergreen shrub or small tree with glossy leaves and clusters of star shaped bright scarlet flowers. The plant has a rounded or narrow domed form and gets up to 15 ft tall with a spread of 10 ft or so, although in cultivation it is usually smaller. Also makes a great bonsai. Tolerant to a wide variety of soils as long as they are well drained. Blooms on the current year's growth so it can be pruned at any time of the year. It handles pruning well and can be kept to shrub size, trained to a tree form or used in espalier. Drought tolerant. Jatropha contains a milky sap that can irritate sensitive skin. All parts of the plant are reported to be poisonous if ingested. Germination process - Allow the rest of the seeds to soak overnight for about 12 hours. You can also remove the seeds from the water after determining which ones sink or float, then nick each of them with knife. Soaking or nicking helps improve germination rates. Fill potting bags, a planting tray or a 1-gallon pot with a potting mix that contains soil, peat or compost, or any combination of these three items. Moisten the soil with water. Plant one seed in each bag or cell in the planting tray, or plant one seed every 2 inches in the 1-gallon pot. Plant jatropha seeds 2 to 3 inches deep. Place the container or bags in the shade at room temperature and keep the soil moistened until germination. Expect jatropha seeds to sprout in one to three weeks.

The almond (Prunus dulcis, Prunus amygdalus, Amygdalus communis, Amygdalus dulcis) is a species of tree native to the Middle East and South Asia.Best flowering and fruiting is in full sun. Grows well in sandy soils. Avoid heavy clays. This tree grows best in areas such as the State of California where it can be sited in hot, dry locations with low humidity such as the interior valleys and can enjoy a long growing season.
Height: 10.00 to 15.00 feet plant . Temprature: 15 and 30 °C.
Start with a mixture of agro peat, organic manure and soil in 20:20:60 ratio. Agro peat helps to increase water holding capacity of growing medium and also in easy penetration of roots. If good quality agro peat or manure is not available, you may use the available soil. Now open the seed packet on a white sheet of paper, to avoid them from falling out. Insert the seeds into the prepared mixture to half inch of depth. Moisten the newly planted seeds only by sprinkling water. It is advisable not to directly pour water over the saplings as the force of water might damage them. Please note that all seedlings require considerable amount of light and warmth to germinate. Germination may take place within 10-18 days, depending upon different varieties. Once the seeds grow into seedlings approximately around 3 inches, they can be transplanted to pots or desired areas. Diluted amount of organic pesticide could be used to control weeds, pests. For better results, use organic manure, agro peat and pesticides from Green World . Happy gardening legal disclaimer: Germination of seeds is based on many factors, we do not accept any liability regarding their germination, growth etc.

Pretreatment: Not required. Nursery Technique : Seed mixed with sand is broadcasted on raised primary beds with a cover of fine sand. The bed is covered with hay. Germination takes place with 5 to 15 days. When 5 to 14 cms tall, they are pricked out to the polybags. Planting in fall or at the start of the rainy season is best. For cold winter areas, plant in the early spring so it has a chance to extend roots before winter sets in. Water the tree well before planting and choose a sunny area. Then, dig a hole larger than the pot you purchased it in and one to two inches deeper. Take the tree out of the pot and separate the roots without breaking very many. Water the tree and fill in the dirt as you water. Cover the new soil with mulch to hold in the water and keep weeds away.

Jacaranda mimosifolia has been widely planted elsewhere because of its attractive and long-lasting violet-colored flowers. It is also known as the jacaranda, blue jacaranda, black poui, or fern tree. The blue jacaranda has been cultivated in almost every part of the world where there is no risk of frost; established trees, however, tolerate brief spells of temperatures down to around −7 °C (19 °F).In the US, in areas where winter temperatures can dip to −12 °C (10 °F) for several-hour periods, the mature tree survives with little or no visible damage. Even when young trees are damaged by a hard frost and suffer dieback, they will often rebound from the roots and grow in a shrub-like, multi-stemmed form. The tree grows to a height of up to 20 m (66 ft). Its bark is thin and grey-brown, smooth when the tree is young but eventually becoming finely scaly. The twigs are slender and slightly zigzag; they are a light reddish-brown. The flowers are up to 5 cm (2.0 in) long, and are grouped in 30 cm (12 in) panicles. They appear in spring and early summer, and last for up to two months. They are followed by woody seed pods, about 5 cm (2.0 in) in diameter, which contain numerous flat, winged seeds. The blue jacaranda is cultivated for the sake of its large compound leaves, even in areas where it rarely blooms. These leaves are up to 45 cm (18 in) long and bi-pinnately compound, with leaflets little more than 1 cm (0.39 in) long. There is a white form available from nurseries.

The unusually shaped, tough pods, which are 5.1 to 7.6 cm (2 to 3 in) across, are often gathered, cleaned and used to decorate Christmas trees and dried arrangements.

One of the finest flowering trees in tropics and subtropics. This tree is in full bloom - when very few other trees have flowers - ie at the onset of winter. The tree flowers profusely during winter and early spring. A deciduous tree of medium height. 10 m to 12 m tall. Leaves palmately compound. Flowers reddish mauve, funnel shaped, lobes expanded, about 5 cm long, 3.5 cm across, arise in clusters on leafless branches. Plants are rather slow growing. They will flower 3 to 6 years after planting.  Grown on roadside, private gardens and parks and other locations for its beauty and shade.  Plants like well drained soils. Regular watering in hot dry months will help it grow well. Do not plant in water logged areas. Tall - 2 to 3 meter plants that are 3 to 4 year old are available in many plant nurseries today. Dendrocalamus strictus also known as MALE BAMBOO, SOLID BAMBOO OR CALCUTTA. This bamboo is extensively used as a RAW MATERIAL IN PAPER MILLS and also for a variety of purposes such as LIGHT CONSTRUCTION, FURNITURE, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, BAMBOO BOARD, MATS, STICKS, AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS, RAFTS, BASKETS, WOVEN WARES FURNITURE, POLES FOR CONSTRUCTION, LADDERS and HOUSEHOLD utensils,. Leaves are used as FORAGE.SEED : - PRETREATMENT OF SEEDS: Seed is soaked in water 12 hours .Germination percentage : 90 to 95 %, Time for germination in days : 10 to 12 days. NURSERY TECHNIQUES : Pre-treated seed broadcast on the raised beds . A layer of husk is covered over the bed. Germination is seen after 10 days. After 4 weeks, the seedling is transplanted to polythene bags. SOIL TYPE : It prefers well-drained soil of any type, growing gregariously on hill slopes. In DRY AND POOR SOILS, the clumps are smaller and solid whereas in fertile soils, they reach bigger dimensions and hollow. This is a drought hardy species.. Distribution: Found throughout India especially in the drier tracts. Grows well in the plains and in the foot hills.PIT SIZE & TREATMENT: 45 X 45 X 45 cm cubical pits, to be half filled and kept exposed to sun for top soil sterilization for about a month.SPACING: Spacing of 5 X 5 m for shoot production and 6 X 6M for timber.PLANTING PROCEDURE: SEASON OF PLANTING: Planting during the pre monsoon showers or prior to active monsoon. Pre planting operation: Demarcation / fencing to be completed at least three months prior to planting. Weeding, at least 15 days prior to planting. PIT SIZE & TREATMENT: 45 X 45 X 45 cm cubical pits, to be half filled and kept exposed to sun for top soil sterilization for about a month. PLANTING: Along with the pre monsoon showers/prior to active monsoon the pits are completely filled and planted with one year old planting stock. The filled up soil to be compacted around the plant. SPACING: Spacing of 5 X 5 m for shoot production and 6 X 6M for timber. SOIL/WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES: Moisture/water harvesting trenches (60cm X 45cm X 30cm) are to be dug along the interspaces in the alternate rows of planting when planted in 6 X 6 m spacing. HARVESTING. Culms (timber) should be harvested only during non rainy months. No current year culms are to be cut. For propagation about 20 % of two year old culms can be selectively cut from all portions of the clumps which can be made use of for vegetative propagation through rooting of culm cuttings. About 60% of the 3 year old culms and almost all of the 4th year culms can be cut and removed. However it is always better to retain a few older culms in the clump to serve as support for the younger newly emerging culms. If the stand is managed for edible shoots, they are to be cut either in the early morning or late evening when the sprouts attain 35 to 45 cm in height. While harvesting the tender shoots care should be taken to see that only 60% of the sprouts that too from all portions of the clump are removed while 40 % are retained in the clump. Flowering cycle: 45-55 years CULMS: Dendrocalamus strictus is a medium-sized bamboo with culms of about 8-20 m tall and 2.5-8 cm in diameter. The internodes are 30-45 cm long and thick-walled.

Mimosa pudica (from Latin: pudica "shy, bashful or shrinking"; also called sensitive plant, sleepy plant, action plant, touch-me-not, shameplant) is a creeping annual or perennial flowering plant of the pea/legume family Fabaceae. It is often grown for its curiosity value: the compound leaves fold inward and droop when touched or shaken, defending themselves from harm, and re-open a few minutes later. Mimosa pudica is well known for its rapid plant movement. Like a number of other plant species, it undergoes changes in leaf orientation termed "sleep" or nyctinastic movement. The stem is erect in young plants, but becomes creeping or trailing with age. It can hang very low and become floppy. The stem is slender, branching, and sparsely to densely prickly, growing to a length of 1.5 m (5 ft).

Albizia saman (sometimes treated under the obsolete name Samanea saman), Common names include saman, rain tree and monkeypod Albizia can be deciduous trees, shrubs or climbers, with attractive bipinnate leaves with tiny leaflets, and flower heads composed of many small flowers with prominent stamens. This species is globally distributed in Indo-Malesia. Within India, it is distriubted in the sub-Himalayan tracts and slopes, and valleys up to 1500 m, West Bengal, Assam, Peninsular India, but it is not so common in northern, western and central India. Common name: pink silk tree .Saman is a wide-canopied tree with a large symmetrical umbrella-shaped crown. It usually reaches a height of 15–25 m (49–82 ft) and a diameter of 30 m (98 ft).] The leaves fold in rainy weather and in the evening, hence the names rain tree and five o'clock tree ("Pukul Lima" in Malay). The tree has pinkish flowers with white and red stamens, set on heads with around 12–25 flowers per head. These heads may number in the thousands, covering the whole tree. The seed pods of the tree contain sticky, edible flesh. The origin of the name "rain tree" is unknown. It has been variously attributed to the way the leaves fold during rainy days (allowing rain to fall through the tree); the relative abundance of grass under the tree in comparison to surrounding areas; the steady drizzle of honeydew-like discharge of cicadas feeding on the leaves; the occasional shower of sugary secretions from the nectaries on the leaf petioles; to the shedding of stamens during heavy flowering.

Tamarindus indica, the common tamarind tree is an ideal plant for making bonsai. The tree needs bright sunlight and grows well in almost all soil types.  Commonly found in African as well as South Asian countries. Usually the Tamarind trees are cultivated for shade, food and medicines. Moreover, the pulp extracted from mature pods adds flavour to cuisines.  Before sowing, soak the well dried seeds in warm water overnight. Usually, the softening of seed coats helps speedy germination. Sow the seeds in loamy soil in a pot, and spray water regularly. Germination starts within ten to fifteen days. Keep the seedling in the same pot for two to three months. It is equally important to add diluted liquid organic fertilizer at regular intervals. Then transfer the plant carefully to a training pot. Also, ensure keeping it in shade. Meanwhile, the plant slowly adapts with new environment. Once the roots are fixed, new foliages begin to appear. Shift the pot gradually from shade to sunlight. Finally, transformation to your actual bonsai starts from here.

Sterculia foetida is a soft wooded tree that can grow up to 35 metres (115 ft.) tall. It was described in 1753 by Carl Linnaeus. Common names for the plant are the bastard poon tree, java olive tree, hazel sterculia, wild almond tree, and skunk tree. This is the type species of the genus Sterculia and both names mean bad-smelling: the name Sterculia comes from Sterquilinus, the Roman god of fertilizer or manure. The branches of Sterculia foetida are arranged in whorls; they spread horizontally. The tree's bark is smooth and grey. The leaves are placed at the end of branchlets; they have 125–230 mm long petioles; the blades are palmately compound, containing 7-9 leaflets. The leaflets are elliptical, 100–170 mm long, and shortly petioluled The petioles are the source of the foul smell of the plant. The flowers are arranged in panicles, 100–150 mm long. The green or purple flowers are large and unisexual as the tree is dioecious (male and female flowers are found on different trees). The pollens are oval in shape, approximately 40 microns in length. The calyx is dull orange and is divided into five sepals, each one 10-13 mm long. The fruit consists of four to five follicles, each follicle generally containing 10-15 seeds. The follicles are scarlet when ripe In India, flowers appear in March, and the leaves appear between March and April. At Hyderabad (India), flowering was observed in September-October (2015) with ripened fruits on the top part and young green fruits at the lower branches. The fruit is ripe in February (11 months after the flowers appeared).
